About Me

With the experience of a career in education spanning 26 years and coaching youth sport for a similar duration Young Anglers was launched in September 2012. 100_0771

Having set up a community based junior angling club in partnership with the secondary school I worked at I have seen first hand how an alternative teaching and learning environment can stimulate and engage students, particularly those who may be ‘disaffected’ with mainstream provision.

Young Anglers ‘YOUFISH’ Education programme offer an alternative learning experience through angling. This could involve working with individuals or small groups of students. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how the ‘YOUFISH’ programmes may help some of your students. Other programmes available include our very successful Primary School Initiative and Community Coaching. We can also facilitate specific coaching for adults, activity days and corporate events.

I work in partnership with other organisations including the Angling Trust, Nottingham Anglers Association and Nottinghamshire Sportivate. In March 2012 I was appointed as Nottingham Anglers Association’s Junior Development Officer.
